Cresa, a global tenant-only real estate advisor, has announced that Michał Śmietański, a legal counsel with many years of professional experience in the commercial property market, has been appointed to sit on the board of directors and head the legal department of Cresa Poland.
Michał is responsible for every legal and compliance aspect of business, provides legal advice and coordinates professional services delivered for Cresa and its clients, analyzing risks and identifying the best scenarios.
“Legal counseling is highly recommended in the real estate sector due to considerable transaction values, changing legal regulations and many other aspects that need to be considered on a case-by-case basis. Michał Śmietański has 20 years of experience in the legal profession, specializing in work for commercial real estate services firms. Prior to joining Cresa, for over twelve years he had been an in-house lawyer at Cushman & Wakefield with responsibility for international legal and compliance issues and coordination of related activities. He also participated in real estate transactions and lease negotiations.
